Riding System (Mounts)
🚀 Removal of Legacy Mount Mod
We have removed the old add-on Cobblemon: Ride On! from the modpack and are now using the official riding mechanics provided by Cobblemon itself. That means: some of your favourite Pokémon might no longer be rideable, at least temporarily. Our team is keeping an eye on this and will look to expand the list of ride-capable Pokémon once the official mod supports them.
🐾 How the Official Riding Mechanics Work
Right-click an eligible Pokémon (while sneaking) to open the mount/ride option.
No saddle required.
Your preferred camera mode for that riding style will be saved and restored on mount/dismount.
You can tweak riding settings in
config\cobblemon\main.json, for example:"invertRoll": false, "invertPitch": false, "invertYaw": false, "xAxisSensitivity": 1.0, "yAxisSensitivity": 1.0, "swapXAndYAxes": false, "rightingDelay": -1.0, "disableRoll": false, "displayControlSeconds": 0, "infiniteRideStamina": false, "rememberRidingCamera": falseIf you suffer from motion-sickness, set
"disableRoll": true.Official wiki page for more details: Pokémon / Riding
📋 List of Rideable Pokémon
Below is the full list of currently rideable Pokémon using the official Cobblemon riding system. Stats are given per riding type and come directly from the Cobblemon Riding table.
Important: The stats shown are for reference only and may change in future updates.
📣 What This Means for the Modpack
If your favourite Pokémon is not rideable yet—don’t panic. They may get added as the official mechanics expand.
For now, adjust player expectations: some grab-and-ride mechanics from previous versions might be disabled.
We’ll monitor the mod updates and push patches when more mount options become available.
