Fossils

Fossils are rare items that allow you to resurrect prehistoric Pokémon in Cobblemon. They encourage exploration, curiosity, and the discovery of ancient locations scattered throughout the world.

This page details:

  • 📍 Where to find fossils

  • ⚙️ How to use them

  • 🧬 Which Pokémon they can revive

⚙️ How Fossils Work

A fossil represents the remains of an ancient Pokémon preserved through time. Once collected, it can be processed using a Resurrection Machine.

🧭 General process:

  1. 🔎 Find a fossil while exploring

  2. 🖌️ Extract it using a brush if required

  3. 🧪 Place it inside a Resurrection Machine

  4. ⚡ Power the machine (using food)

  5. 🐣 Retrieve the resurrected Pokémon

🗺️ Obtaining Fossils

Fossils are mainly obtained through:

  • 🧱 Suspicious blocks (sand and gravel)

  • 🏛️ Ancient structures

  • 🌍 Biome-specific areas

Each fossil is tied to specific environments, making certain Pokémon rarer than others.

🧬 Hybrid Fossils

⚠️ These fossils can produce multiple Pokémon, depending on the combination used during resurrection.

🔀 Combined Fossils (Generation 8+)

⚠️ Starting from Generation 8, you can combine two hybrid fossils in the Resurrection Machine to guarantee the desired Pokémon.

🧪 Resurrection Machine

The Resurrection Machine allows you to bring discovered fossils back to life.

🛠️ Steps:

  1. Open the machine interface

  2. Insert the fossil

  3. Provide the required energy

  4. Start the process

  5. Retrieve the Pokémon

⏳ Processing time: 10 minutes
